Garnet January's Birthstone
Garnet is a beautiful gem that comes in all colors except blue. It is most commonly seen in colors ranging from a root beer brown to a raspberry red. it is also found in a bright green (Tsavorite) that rivals the color of an Emerald.
Legend holds that Noah hung a large garnet in the Ark for illumination. It reportedly gives those who wear it guidance in the night and protection from nightmares.
